Ibanez TS9

808 MOD
Turns the pedal into a true TS808 circuit.

The Hugh Jass MOD
This mod starts out with the 808 mod then I take it a step further.  As the name implies this mod gives your tubescreamer a bigger bottom!  Stock tubescreamers have a filter that cuts out the low end below a certain frequency.  I and many others think that this frequency is too high and doesn't really let the low end of your tone shine through ESPECIALLY if you downtune or play a 7-string!  It still cuts out a little bass, that's part of why an OD pedal tightens up your tone.  I just think that it cuts it out in the right place with this mod.  Your pedal will sound fuller, bigger, thicker, fuller, and more powerful vs. stock.

Chaos Mod
This is it!  808 mod, Hugh Jass mod, and more!  This mod will give you all the mods described above plus:
  • More clarity
  • Bigger, tighter, more refined bass response
  • Improved dynamics
  • More available drive on the top end of the knob
  • Alter the frequencies the tone knob affects to what I believe to be a sweeter spot
  • Clean boost when the drive is at zero
  • Better sounding, fuller, more tube-like clipping
  • More available volume to hit your amp HARD!
Sapphire Mod *new*
After many requests to mold my tubescreamers into blues/classic rock machines I came up with something that's finally set in stone as a new mod.  It has all the benefits of the Chaos mod but instead of concentrating on transparency and huge output I concentrate on warmth and smoothness.  I named it "Sapphire" because the last customer that bought one requested the "blues/rock" mod in the paypal info and a Sapphire is... :)  A blue rock!  The difference is in the clipping diodes.  I make the clipping more assymetrical by substituting one of the diodes in the Chaos mod with two germanium diodes.   Germaniums are quieter, warmer, fuzzier, and smoother than what is used in the Chaos mod.  So far all who have tried this mod are EXTREMELY happy with it!  Same low price as the Chaos mod!
True Bypass
Greatly improves tone whether your pedal is on or off!  When switched off it's equavilent to the pedal not being there at all.  When switched on your guitar signal no longer passes through the tone degrading switching circuit that's in the pedal stock!  I offer this with or without other mods.  This does require drilling and mounting an external footswitch!  The stock footswitch will no longer be functional!

Prices (includes US shipping):
808 mod: $25
Hugh Jass: $30
Chaos: $40
Sapphire: $40
True bypass only = $40 / True bypass with other mods = $30
I also offer new pedals already modded!  Add $100 to the price of the mods for this option.
